Philosophy of the Organization
Mid-Iowa Family Therapy Clinic, Inc. is a community-based organization which provides services to all clients located in the geographic service delivery area, regardless of cultural background or socioeconomic status. The agency believes our staff works best when we engage with families and provide treatment that achieves the family's goals in their home, community or school, and incorporates all members of their family and/or community in order to enhance their opportunity for success.
Mid-Iowa Family Therapy Clinic, Inc. provides services in support of several Department of Human Services programs. We also provide comprehensive independent outpatient treatment and therapy services to children and adults under our Outpatient Services Program.
Christine Secrist, Ph.D., L.M.F.T., founded Mid-Iowa Therapy Clinic, Inc. in 1991 in response to the great need in Iowa's rural communities for mental health treatment for children and families. Dr. Secrist has since continued in this pursuit and has expanded across Iowa from the original site in Perry. For a complete listing of current locations, please go to the Contact page.
Mid-Iowa maintains its focus on children and families through a variety of services, community collaborations and Department of Human Services support.
